A Message from our Shepherd

Do you ever feel overwhelmed?

Being involved with a campus ministry at CSUN can make a person feel inadequate. There are over 33,000 students at CSUN. Our goal is to see every one of them reconciled to God through Christ. But how can a group of 60 students reach a campus of 33,000? Who is possibly adequate for this task?

Thanks be to God that he is sovereign.

We know there are many Christians on campus, there are many other Christian groups, and God does not leave himself without a testimony of his Gospel. We are thankful that he has called us to be faithful ministers of his Gospel, and we do the best we can, following the Spirit of God, as he equips us for an impossible task.

The tools he has given us are prayer and his word.

That is why our group focuses on praying for each other, as well as the teaching of Scripture. We know that the Bible is the tool God is going to use to bring his Gospel to the next person who is going to come to Christ. We do feel overwhelmed, but we also feel sustained by God’s promises that his word will do what he has appointed for it to accomplish.
